Rachel T. Ortiz, MS, and Jeffrey W. Shupp, MD represented The Burn Center and the Firefighters’ Burn and Surgical Research Lab at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) meeting, September 27-29 in Las Vegas, NV. Ms. Ortiz presented a poster on Virulence Factor and Pathogen Mitigation Using a Hydroconductive Wound Dressing, that was named the best poster in the Laboratory Research category. Coauthors to Ms. Ortiz and Dr. Shupp on this work are Lauren Moffatt, PhD, Bonnie Carney, Rachael Bullock, Martin Robson, MD, and Marion Jordan, MD, FACS.
